Our Sweet teen Healthy routine!
Building healthy habits at an early stage.
I'm pretty sure you have heard people talking about living a healthy life and you have tried a bit, but eating vegetables every day and paying a gym fee every month or week is not just you, so you ignored everything. Well maintaining a healthy lifestyle as a teenager sounds a little bit scary and hard to maintain but honestly, it's actually easy than it sounds.
Let us get in detail:
You really do not need to be a herbalife member or a vegetarian to be healthy, however, you can be a vegan(although it is not necessary). I find being a vegan easy than being a vegetarian because chicken is more delicious than red meat but hold up I know you're thinking about giving up all those braais and you are like NO I can't, It's not necessary for you to be a vegan to live a healthier life but it adds a little bit spicy to your healthiness.
Here is how we can maintain our healthy living:
- Timetable
A timetable is an easy go for planning how you will spend each day of your week, but for spontaneous people like me, this sounds boring because you are all probably thinking about a traditional timetable on your wall where every Tuesday you have to start your Math class at 7;45. The timetable I'm talking about now is a plan you draw every Saturday night after knowing all the events you have to attend that particular week and please don't forget to include some chill time in it.
- Physical exercise
Physical exercising has many benefits, some of them being mentally healthy, avoiding risks to many diseases e.g diabetes, heart attack and the famous one being on managing calories which leads to being in good body shape.
STOP worrying about the gym fee! there are many ways to do this, My advice is that take a hobby and make it your daily exercise. If you love sports make sure you join a sports club, If you like cycling have a bike as a backup, We all know about jogging so I am not going to dwell much on that. WAIT...There is still yoga as an option if you are worried because there is not any club near your location, I have good news for you, there are videos to help you online, and you can even do this in your own room or at the back yard watching tutorials online( I provided links for you at the end but you can always look for other sites). Exercise is better in dusk and dawn but I prefer morning exercises (and the secret to it is waking up early) as they lead in starting your day fresh and energetic.
- Water and coffee
Water!Water!Water!
You have heard so many times about the importance of water so I can't be emphasizing on that, but hey do not forget that 2 litres per day, do not be ashamed of carrying your bottle of water to your lecture halls and almost everywhere you because besides benefitting in your healthy everything and skin it also boosts your concentration and lowers your levels of being bored.
Now on coffee, This is a weapon on concentration, brain-boosting, cognitive decline and many more other staff. So three mornings in a week grab a cup of coffee before starting a day, there are many types but I recommend strong espresso. Most of us do not have time so you might be wondering which one is the best instant coffee brand I can use, I have done research on it don't worry it's not an opinion, Currently the top three in South Africa are Nescafe of which Nescafe espresso is approximately R90 per 100g, followed by Douwe Egberts which is R70 per 200g and the last one on my top 3 is Woolworths brand and its minimum price is R70 per 200g. According to world ranking, the best instant coffee is Starbucks followed by Maxwell House and Nescafe. The best coffee in India is Blue Tokai.
